Shengru Li in Yamaguchi-Takada laboratory presented for master thesis presentation session of Department of International Development Engineering.
Lis research is aligning to the recent development in educational policies in Mongolia that focus on student-centered education (SCE) and the use of information and communication technology (ICT) in teaching and learning. His study aims to understand the factors affecting teachers’ perceptions on use of ICT for SCE as there lacks its study in Mongolian context. In this presentation, he reported three factors are affecting Mongolian primary school teachers’ perception on use of ICT: 1) professional competency, 2) benefits on use of ICT, and 3) teacher cooperation.
Professors offered technical advice to find more factors, alternative factor analysis methods to improve model reliability as well as recommendation to include contextual examples of student-centered education in Mongolia.
